I learned a lot over my 11 weeks at the Nevada Automotive Test Center. I had the pleasure to work with some great engineers doing both vehicle testing as well as vehicle design/fabrication. I probably can't say what vehicles I've been working on (all military stuff), but it really was a great experience. The vehicle build I was working on was headed up by a well known engineer in the off-road race industry, and he brought on a group of fabricators that were all incredible. Sure, I liked the testing, but I learned some amazing and very useful fabrication techniques over the summer. If you're an engineer and looking for a cool place to intern or maybe work, look into NATC.
P.S. I was turned on to flared holes for use in high modulus thin sheet metal structures, and by god everything I make now is going to have flared holes.

If I end up looking for a new internship, I'll look into it! Thanks for the idea

How the hell do I intern there? Much jealousy.

Uhhhh apply to them? Just send them an email. That's pretty much what I did. After that, balls in your court.
